From Whitney's Heights, to Humanity's Low: Manzanar

Just before getting to Lone Pine driving south, home of the Alabama Foothills, I passed Manzanar. I was never exactly sure where it was before, but now I know. Most of it disappeared over time, but several barracks remain in reconstructions. To say it was an unspeakably sad chapter in US history is an understatement. We must never wallow in those depths again, though I fear many wouldn't mind it.
