Joyous Ambivalence: Ignominy and Nerdy Delight

Yes, I just got finished decrying man's inhumanity to man. But the science! But the history! So if a word ever deserved an oxymoron to describe it, "ambivalence" is it.

So my son is graduating from nuclear school in the navy. What better thing to give him than a precious piece of radioactive history to commemorate this accomplishment.

Don opened his rock shop just for me so I could get some Trinitite: the nuclear glass from the Trinity nuclear test.

So I like it and hate it at the same time. Welcome to ambivalence.
